Good To Go’s 2015 Travel Bucket List

New year. New adventures! It may only be February, but here at Good To Go we’re already mapping out our travels for the year. Our 2015 travel wish list takes us from a spa deep in the Indian Ocean to an ancient temple on top of the Peruvian Andes. Come along as we daydream about the world’s most exciting, luxurious and relaxing destinations.

Our 2015 Travel Bucket List

Hike The Inca Trail To Machu Picchu

It takes four days to hike the 26 miles from Cusco, Peru to the ancient city of Machu Picchu. The walk is considered among the top five treks in the world, taking you through dense cloud forests, subtropical jungles, and rare orchid gardens. You’ll climb past the ruins of Llactapata, Runkurakay, and Sayacmarca before reaching the most famous of the remaining Inca villages: Machu Picchu. On the last day, you’ll arrive before dawn to catch the sunrise over the rubble of this mysterious city. The sight has been described as one of the most breathtaking experiences in the world.

Cruise The Nile In Style

Between Luxor and Aswan, Egypt, the coast of the Nile River is dotted with some of the world’s most spectacular ancient temples, tombs and shrines. Luxor is often referred to as the world’s greatest open-air museum, and Aswan’s dramatic sandstone skyline earned it the nickname “the Jewel of the Nile”. We dream of sailing this famous river strip aboard a luxury cruise, complete with a spa, private terraces, and daily guided excursions through some of Egypt’s top sites. Imagine exploring the Valley of the Kings with a certified Egyptologist then returning to the boat for a belly dance show, gourmet dinner buffet, and a night of stargazing along the Nile.

Get An Underwater Massage

The Maldives’ Huvafen Fushi hotel is home to the world’s first underwater spa treatment rooms. Get an Indian head massage, purifying facial or Reiki treatment as you watch stingrays, clownfish and reef sharks pass by the panoramic sea windows. Our treatment of choice would be the 90-minute dream massage, which uses the best of Balinese, Shiatsu and Thai therapies. Afterwards, we’d take full advantage of the spa’s mineral-rich salt-water floatation pool. Heaven!   What’s on your 2015 bucket list? Share your travel goals in the comments below!
